Description

Dymanic Maths Series

This series has six titles that is locally produced  software and can really booast of a friendly user interface. Good animation and graphics keep students interested and they often like to come back for more. Its contents are cover our syllabus adequately and teaching methods are familar to students.

Geometer's Sketchpad & JavaSketchpad *

Geometer's Sketchpad (GSP) is a popular and well-known software that has been around for years. Its compact program fits into two 1.44" diskette. GSP uses the principle of dynamic geometry to plot points, lines and curves while tracking their mathematical relationships. GSP has an even more dynamic version called JavaSketchpad which is a relatively new program that enables user interaction with online GSP sketches.

LiveMath (formerly known as MathView) *

This computer algebra system allows users to manipulate mathematical equations and expressions algebraically. It is capable of factorisation, differentiation and integration, being highly interactive it is good for use on the Internet especially for interactive online lessons.

Scientific Notebook *

A dynamic suite of interactive tools for publishing, graphing and calculating. It is part of the package comprising Scientific Workplace, Scientific Word and      .

Graphmatica*

Able to fit into one 1.44" diskette, this algebraic equation grapher can be used to plot curves involving extensive mathematical functions.

TesselMania! *

A software that makes tessellations from tiles that you can create yourselves. Alternatively, you can tessellate the colourful designs that come with the program.
